The legal battle between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard drew massive viewer numbers. Those numbers were so big in fact, that the attorneys involved in the trial became celebrities themselves to some degree. That is especially true of the attorneys that were on the winning side like Chew and Vasquez. With that case over, the two celebrity attorneys could already have their next client.

Not long after the Depp trial wrapped up, a TikTok video by user wonder7woman5 caught the two lawyers seemingly discussing that next client. In the video, Chew can be heard talking to Vasquez about a “great conversation” he had with Dobrik. While that certainly doesn’t mean that the YouTube star has hired either or both of Chew and Vazquez, it has led some fans to believe that he’s getting some celebrity legal help.
At the very least, it certainly seems as if Dobrik is going to need a lawyer if his attorney doesn’t end up being anyone from Depp’s former team. Dobrik is finding himself in the legal crosshairs thanks to a stunt he carried out with former friend Jeff Wittek. Dobrik once swung Wittek in a crane and that led to the latter suffering some rather severe injuries. It also led Wittek to blame Dobrik and eventually threaten a lawsuit.
While the potential lawsuit was only recently brought into the public’s eye, Dexerto reports that it’s actually been in the works for quite a while now. If things are starting to heat up and head towards the courtroom, it would make some sense for David Dobrik to feel as though he needs some heavy hitters sitting at the defense table.
At the moment, that Chew and Vasquez is on the YouTube star’s legal team is still almost entirely conjecture. Considering that David Dobrik has come under fire numerous times over the last few years, there’s also no real way to tell what exactly he might need a lawyer for if he has decided to hire them. It would stand to reason that things will get quite a bit clearer in the near future.
