Unquestionably this is a compelling feat that stands out in Jojo. Regardless, in the Stone Ocean series, there is another stand that can be rightfully called the strongest. The stand, Made in Heaven, deserves the spot as the Jojo series’ most powerful stand, following its extraordinary abilities which are unrivaled for most of the series. So just what are the abilities of Made in Heaven?

Made in Heaven – The End Result of Dio’s Plan
Made in Heaven is the crystallization of the objective of Enrico Pucci, the main villain of Stone Ocean. He followed DIO’s plan to create a powerful stand, uncontested by any other in terms of strength. Essentially, stands are a physical manifestation of the user’s life energy, triggered through contact with a unique arrow that allows affected persons to manifest humanoids with abilities. Usually, a person is limited to one stand, which can only evolve if struck by the stand-creating arrow again.
However, Made in Heaven is different in terms of creation and composition. Born from the plan of the evil DIO, Enrico Pucci created Made in Heaven, following the advice of DIO outlined in his diary. He created Made in Heaven using his soul, Green Baby’s soul, and 34 other souls he obtained through despicable means. Made in Heaven was a nearly-insurmountable obstacle for the main characters of Stone Ocean as the stand’s ability made it untouchable. Out of all the stand’s abilities, two stands out due to their powerful nature: Time-acceleration and universal reset.
Time Manipulation & Acceleration
One core strength of Made in Heaven is its time-manipulation & acceleration ability. Time-manipulating stands are already commonplace in the Jojo series. DIO’s The World and Jotaro’s Star Platinum possess time-manipulation abilities, which are formidable but limited in the length of time of the ability’s usage: the duration of their abilities does not exceed more than a few seconds. Regardless, their time-control versions are quite powerful and are not to be trifled with. However, all time-controlling stands pale in comparison to Made in Heaven.

By tweaking the gravitational force of the Earth and moon, simultaneously, Made in Heaven can accelerate time at an astounding rate. What’s more, the stand’s reach of influence isn’t limited to just the Earth but the whole universe. This feat alone makes Made in Heaven the strongest stand. Made in Heaven’s time-acceleration ability causes humans under its effect to freeze mentally. This development is caused by a jarred perception of the flow of time, creating an unavoidable brain lag, since there is only so much the human senses can accurately percieve. Of course, Enrico Pucci, the stand user, is the only exception to the stand’s effect.
Stands with time-stop abilities are also ineffective against Made in Heaven since its time-acceleration ability forces time to move at a faster rate, instantly reducing the period time-stop stands’ effects can linger.
Universe Creation & Reset
In the world of fiction, any character that can manipulate the workings of a universe is a cosmic character in terms of power level. In the anime franchise, among the overpowered characters, very few of them ever reach this stage. Surprisingly, the Jojo franchise has birthed a cosmic character in the form of Made in Heaven. Made in Heaven has a universal control ability, the final result of the stand’s time-acceleration capability. At some point, while Made in Heaven accelerates time, the stand will hit a point of singularity, creating a new universe.
In Made in Heaven’s universe, everything flows differently as the state of things are in constant repetition, contrary to the usual flow of time, in which nothing ever repeats itself. The remaining portion of humanity that survives the time acceleration ability is transported to the newly-created world, where Enrico Pucci takes up the role of a ‘god’ that determines everyone’s fates. Frighteningly enough, Made in Heaven’s reach is not limited to the living but also the dead. Humans that died in the previous universe can exist in Made in Heaven’s universe. However, the nasty side of their resurrection is that they lose their initial personalities and sense of identity, only to be replaced by Enrico’s inputs.
The world created by Made in Heaven also has another astonishing feature. The human remnants of this world already know what has happened to them and what will happen to them. Unavoidably, the cycle is repeated over and over again, creating a sense of monotony and inescapability. According to Enrico, the whole point of this world’s properties is that it allows humanity to accept their fate and live on.
Throughout the JoJo series, DIO remains a menace, dead or alive. Made in Heaven is a consequence of his actions and plan outlined in his diary. Furthermore, the stand has proved to be the most powerful in the JoJo franchise. Following this stand’s awesomeness, Manga fans can only hope that it lives up to the hype after it’s adapted into the incoming Stone Ocean sequel.
